These are pictures from Austin Kade Academy's second annual hair/fashion show benefiting the Haven Shelter. We are put into groups with one instructor and 5ish students. All groups are different in size and level of students. Our theme this year was Super Hero and Villain's (Comic books). It was awesome. My group had Superman. I participated with my students and came up with the idea of the hair, makeup, and costuming. The model in the tin foil and paper is one of my really good friends, Crystal Lilya, and the one in overalls is an ex-students sister, and the one in the black and white tulle was a students friend. It was so much fun and was for a great cause.

Our amazing Halloween!!!

We had so much fun getting ready for our day of Halloween. We went Trick-or-Treating with our friends then went and watched scary movies. It was so much fun. I love to dress up and change who i am for a bit.

Last month my boss took all of the staff to her parents cabin in Island Park. It was so fun. We played tons of games and talked late, watched movies, ate and ate lots of food, and went sight seeing. We made our way through West Yellowstone all the way to Old Faithful. We had so much fun getting to know everyone better. I love the girls I work with. And any males too.

In September 2009, I had a 5 year Cosmetology Reunion. It was so fun to see most all of my class mates that I spent so much time with for almost 2yrs. We all looked pretty much the same which was awesome cause I think we all have children. Well most all of us anyway. I miss all of them. We grew to be a pretty tight group.

Redken Runway Reinvention

I am so Excited!!! I did this photo shoot and am entering some of the pictures in this Redken contest. It is for licensed cosmetologists 21 or older. I sent off my pictures tonight and will know hopefully by Dec. 1, 2009. If I win, wait, when I win I will get to go to New York City for 7 days and will be featured in a magazine, a free class at the Redken Exchange in NYC, and $1000 spending money. Hopefully I will WIN!!! Cross your fingers for me.

We had so much fun taking a drive over the weekend. We took a little trip to Warm River and fed the giant fish and then on to Mesa Falls. It was gorgeous. Leighton loved feeding the fish popcorn and so did they. They would jump out of the water to snatch is up. It was so funny to see. We also fed them some huckleberry pancakes from and nice man and his son. They liked the popcorn better. He He He!!! We then went to see the falls. They were so beautiful. So peaceful. It was a fun family getaway.

First Day of School!!!

His first day of Preschool! August 24, 2009 Leighton stared with a friend. Her name is Jazzlyn Raya. Her mother works with me and is one very good friend. She actually married George Raya who graduated with me from high school. They are having so much fun going together. He loves his Transformer backpack! They are attending a preschool down the road from our house called Lots of Love Preschool. And they love going together! He is growing up so fast. Soon he will be in Kindergarten. Wow!!! I can't believe how old I am getting.
