We had so much fun getting ready for our day of Halloween. We went Trick-or-Treating with our friends then went and watched scary movies. It was so much fun. I love to dress up and change who i am for a bit.
Last month my boss took all of the staff to her parents cabin in Island Park. It was so fun. We played tons of games and talked late, watched movies, ate and ate lots of food, and went sight seeing. We made our way through West Yellowstone all the way to Old Faithful. We had so much fun getting to know everyone better. I love the girls I work with. And any males too.
In September 2009, I had a 5 year Cosmetology Reunion. It was so fun to see most all of my class mates that I spent so much time with for almost 2yrs. We all looked pretty much the same which was awesome cause I think we all have children. Well most all of us anyway. I miss all of them. We grew to be a pretty tight group.
We had so much fun taking a drive over the weekend. We took a little trip to Warm River and fed the giant fish and then on to Mesa Falls. It was gorgeous. Leighton loved feeding the fish popcorn and so did they. They would jump out of the water to snatch is up. It was so funny to see. We also fed them some huckleberry pancakes from and nice man and his son. They liked the popcorn better. He He He!!! We then went to see the falls. They were so beautiful. So peaceful. It was a fun family getaway.
Well I haven't really done anything cool for awhile. That sucks I know! I have been busy with life I guess. Work and home life are sometimes hard to manage but totally rewarding. My son broke his wrist four weeks ago and has a blue cast on. It has been so hard having a four year old with a cast for the warmest part of the summer. We haven't been able to go swimming and had to cancel his second session of swimming lessons. That caused some commotion. At work we are getting ready to do a NAHA photo shoot to enter in next years competition. It will be hard work but hopefully someone from Austin Kade Academy will at least get a nomination. Which is totally doable. We have to get all our ideas together and then find an amazing photographer. We are all excited. Erik has been golfing a ton this year. He lives for it. I wish he would be able to go to golf school. It would be his dream job. I sometimes feel bad cause I am doing my dream job and he isn't but time could change that right!?! I just got called to the Young Women's program in church. I am super excited. I have been waiting for that opportunity since I got married. The girls are super fun so far. I just hope and can help them learn the way to happiness. I am also running a special on hair color and cuts together. They are $20 off for the compo at the same appointment time. Let me know if I can help any of you out in this department. I would love to see you and get caught up. See ya!
I just took a quiz on facebook, which I never do, called What Hair Colour Best Descibes You? It was fun. It says:
You are a unique Redhead! Did you know that only 2 out of 20 people are readheads? You are someone different who likes her differences. You are proud of who are and you don't care about being yourself. You are always shining and people can see that you are special, that you are differnt. You find family really important in your life. Especially your brothers and sisters. You are an outer and inner person! You think differently from everyone! You are smart and you are always sharing your luck and love with others. People notice you where ever you go!
There was a little more but my computer just resarted. It's stupid sometimes. Anyway I thought that was interesting that I am a redhead and it told me I was.
Today was the Trashion Show at the Home Emporium. It was so exciting. I woke up bright and early, well for me anyway, and headed to Austin KadeAcademy to get my model ready for the big event. It was more like playing than working. I love that about my job. Anyway, I got her makeup on and then Niki helped with the hair and assembling the bubble wrap dress. It was an experience we hope to have again for sure. We went and got in line for the show to begin and when the music started everyone got pumped. One by one the models came on stage to strut their stuff. As soon as they announced the 3 finalists the audience was told they would decide the winner by how loud the applause would be. So at that point I knew Niki and I had won. We have very loud family and friends. We won a $200 gift card to the mall and bragging rights for a whole year. I think the latter is pretty dang cool. Here are a few pictures and there is a little clip of the show on www.localnews8.com if you want a peek.
I am so excited! A co-worker and I are entering this Go Green event this Friday. It is called the Trashion Show. It is a fashion show only the clothing items are made from recyclable items. Ours is going to be awesome. I can't wait to get some pictures to add. I hope we win. Our theme is Candy Land. Can you even imagine what that might entail!?!

These are just a few pictures from the Photographer Frank Armstrong who is also a world known makeup artist and is now working in Salt Lake City as a Cosmetologist/Photographer. He was an amazing teacher and I loved getting to work with him. I hope to become great in this field.
I just took the most amazing advanced makeup class through the school I work for. For 2 weeks i spent everyday in this class to help me become a great makeup artist. I am so excited to start trying out what I learned. This is my model that I did hair and makeup on for the photo shoot on the last day of the class. I tried doing finger waves in an actual style for the first time ever and it turned out great! My model was amazing and beautiful, as you can see. She was one of my first students at AKA in Idaho Falls. These pictures are just some I took with my own camera so do not do her justice. As soon as I get the professional pictures back I will post them for everyone to see. I am so excited and hope to start doing makeup around the area and then on to bigger places. Hopefully someday, anyway.
I am a proud mother and one and a loving wife. I really love my family. My husband works for Sheppard Produce, which is based in Twin Falls, Id, delivering and selling produce in this area. We live in Cloverdale Estates and love our little home. I work for Austin Kade Academy which is new to the area and a great Cosmetology school. I work part time doing hair and teaching classes. It is amazing!!!
